Lucky for my portfolio, I've always taken pictures of things since I can remember. It's pretty hard to walk past an interesting fire alarm switch with peeling paint.
I focus on found light and shape, rather than effects and people. But I did give portraits a bit of a go one time.
I tend not to enhance or crop. But I do at least straighten a few that were distracting angles of something interesting.
Equipment doesn't dictate style. It works for me. My favorite lens is a 50mm f/1.8. My zoom lens is my legs.
My camera is a Nikon Z7 on a Blackrapid strap.
